Cosmos ... an attempt to understand the implicit order within the whole of being.

Cosmos is a personal blog, or more accurately, a mishmash of unrelated ramblings, by former accountant, recovering journalist and international cat herder, Pamela Heywood, an erstwhile expat, British by birth and who lived on the island of Tenerife for 16 years.

Currently enduring the equally “foreign” Costa del Geriatrico in the UK, she is fluent in three languages; English, Spanish and Rubbish. This blog is mostly written in the latter.

One of the blog's primary raison d'être is as a stress journal and symptom log (slog) dealing with the daily trials and tribulations of living (OK, merely existing) diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, Chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) a.k.a. Myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME), Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Low Back Pain (Lumbago), Orthostatic intolerance and a myriad of overlapping conditions.
